Cyclopean Frequencies is Lovecraftian rock built from heavy space rock and stoner doom, with each track a cosmic horror soundtrack for the descent into the void. Every song is drawn from a specific weird fiction source: H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos and Dreamlands, Robert W. Chambers's The King in Yellow, and Frank Belknap Long's "The Hound of Tindalos."

  1. Spin

    Draws on H.P. Lovecraft's Azathoth. The blind idiot god at the centre of the cosmos, the daemon-sultan whose maddening piping keeps the universe turning. The opening descent.

  2. Silver Cylinders Fly

    Draws on H.P. Lovecraft's "The Whisperer in Darkness." The Mi-go are crustacean-fungal beings from Yuggoth who harvest human brains into gleaming metal cylinders for transport between worlds.

  3. Alien Stone

    Draws on H.P. Lovecraft's "The Colour Out of Space." A meteorite falls on a Massachusetts farm, and something not-quite-a-colour bleeds into the soil, the water, and everything living.

  4. Transit Yellow

    The title track. Draws on Robert W. Chambers's The King in Yellow, the foundational weird fiction text that Lovecraft absorbed into his own Cthulhu Mythos. The play that drives its readers mad; the tattered king; the lost city of Carcosa.

  5. Violet Bleed

    Draws on H.P. Lovecraft's "The Dreams in the Witch House." Non-Euclidean geometry as a route between worlds, and the student who follows the angles without meaning to.

  6. Sarnath

    Draws on H.P. Lovecraft's "The Doom That Came to Sarnath." A city of the Dreamlands destroyed for what its founders did to the amphibian creatures at the lake of Ib.

  7. The Beast

    Draws on H.P. Lovecraft's "The Outsider." The narrator who climbs from the tomb into a candlelit ballroom and sees, in a great mirror, what the guests are fleeing from.

  8. Hound Of Tindalos

    Draws on Frank Belknap Long's "The Hound of Tindalos," a foundational Cthulhu Mythos story of the entities that dwell in the angles of time and hunt through the smoothness of curves.
